A first mobility test is never what you expect. We took the test bench onto a mixed sand-and-gravel field and let the six wheels do their job.
What worked
The rocker-bogie suspension kept contact over every low obstacle with no help. Traction on loose sand was better than expected: the grousers make the difference.
What to fix
The independent steering showed too much play on one of the front wheels. It is already queued for the next mechanical revision.
Every test is a list of things to fix. Running them early is the whole point.
Next step: repeat the run with the full electronics load onboard.
