Six wheels, no roads

The rocker-bogie suspension keeps all six wheels on the ground over rocks and slopes, with no springs. Each wheel has its own motor: the rover can turn in place and climb obstacles as tall as a wheel.

SS-02 / ARM

Manipulating at a distance

The arm reaches panels, switches and samples built for human hands. Its kinematics are redundant to work in constrained poses, with an interchangeable end-effector for the different competition tasks.

  • Enough degrees of freedom to orient the tool

  • Teleoperation with visual feedback from the head

SS-03 / ELECTRONICS

The nervous system

Power, distribution and telemetry run on boards designed and tested by the team. The goal is resilience: terrain vibration, thermal swings and dust must not stop a run.

SS-04 / AUTONOMY

Deciding on its own

In the autonomous task there is no teleoperation. The rover builds a map of its surroundings with stereo vision, finds the markers and picks a path around obstacles, with no human input.
